Benefit Non-Fiction Foundation
The first time I got to use this foundation was when I was given half a bottle for free.
Luckily it was in the lightest shade, Volume 1. It matched my skin tone perfectly.
For years I have been trying to find my holy grail foundation and at last I think I have found it.
It is of a thin, slightly runny consistency.
You don't need a lot to do your whole face, and it blends amazingly.
You get 25ml in a bottle, but because you don't need much it lasts ages.
The half a bottle I had a couple of months ago still has some left in it.
Its light on the skin, even though it gives good coverage.
I would say its medium - full coverage.
It doesn't cake up on me in the usual areas like most foundations.
I just love this foundation.
The only thing that makes me hesitant to buy it is the price at £19.11 (on the Debenhams website)
However I kept looking on eBay and found a brand new bottle in my shade and got it for £12.50. Bargain!!
Also it has no SPF in it which I know may put some people off. You can get this foundation in 10 shades
A foundation similar to Benefit's Non-Fiction foundation, is:
No7's Essential Moisture foundation in 10 New Ivory.
The tube says "Medium Coverage for an even, dewy finish".
While it is very similar to the Benefit foundation it is much thicker and you end up with too much product at a time due to its squeezy tube design.
However if I couldn't get any of the Benefit foundation the No7 one would definitely be my go to.
You get 40ml in the No7 foundation and it also has SPF 12 in it.
This foundation doesn't feel any heavier on the skin and it lasts just as long as the Benefit one.
The No7 retails at around £10, so nearly £10 cheaper.
I'm happy to use either of these foundations and repurchase them.
Hope this makes sense and is helpful.
