Review: GOSH Irresistible Intensity Mascara

What they say: (here is some info I found from here as I couldn’t find it on the GOSH website picture of tube also from there)
“This brand new mascara has a unique brush which is rounded at the tip and then thins to allow the bristles of the brush to reach even the smallest lashes. The brush can be used horizontally and at an angle, so eyelashes can be pushed upwards to separate and coat each single lash. It is rich in Pro Vitamin B5, which protects and nourishes eyelashes, natural wax strengthens the lashes and gives them added vitality from root to tip and doesn’t contain perfume or parabens.“

What I say: I really do not like this mascara. I brought it because it was only £5 and the wand looked interesting and because I had ran out of my Colossal. I should have known it was a bad idea after some of the reviews on mascaras such aDSCF2967s Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes, haha. However I did buy it and I have tried it once. Why don’t I like it? Well because its awkward to use and the formula is clumpy. It doesn’t separate the lashes at all it sticks them together and leaves big clumps on the ends of the lashes. There is no way I can reach the inner lashes nicely with this brush even if I use it vertically or at an angle. Another annoying thing is that the mascara blobs up on the end of the wand so you have to wipe it off before you use it otherwise it ends up everywhere. They say it doesn’t smell but to me it has that “mascara smell” that quite a few mascaras have. This doesn’t bother me though as you can’t smell it once its on. Removal was a nightmare, it just seemed to smudge all over my eyes until I managed to get the majority of it of. I use baby wipes to remove my makeup and then wash my face so other methods of makeup removal may be more efficient.

Would I repurchase: No, I wouldn’t and I definitely wouldn’t pay £8 for it. I will be sticking to Maybelline’s Full ‘n Soft and Colossal mascaras from now on I think.

    Urgh thats such a shame! I hate when you purchase something in the hope of it being great and all it does is dissapoint :(

    I bought 2 of these and also didnt like it at all. Didnt do nothing for my lashes - one felt all dried out and the other didnt make my lashes look good at all- just weird. I will be sticking with my Max Factor false lash effect.

    @ Thedicegirl - Me too, luckily it doesn't happen too often but when it does it makes me feel like I've wasted my money. Oh well we learn from such mistakes.

    @ Happy1234 - I'm glad I'm not the only who doesn't like it and it doesn't work for! I'm going to be sticking with what I know works for a while me thinks!

    Aww, it looked so interesting!
    I'm actually a fan of the Phenomeneyes wand, but the formula is really horribly wet. It gives me amazing lashes and then smears everywhere!
