Hey :)
Today I’m going to review Soap and Glory’s The Righteous Butter.
What they say: From the S&G website “Award winning body moisturising butter with softening shea butter and aloe Vera. A formula for anyone who’s lost that ‘rubbing’ feeling and wants to bring it on back. With a new dynamic moisture trap matrix to help hold hydration in longer! A body moisturising formula so virtuous you might swear you’re wearing velvet. Get sinfully soft skin with our original formula The Righteous Butter™.”
What I say: I brought a mini pot of this when Boots had a save 1/3 on S&G products. This isn’t as thick as body butters that I have used in the past but its not as thin as a lotion either, it is somewhere in between. Its smells lovely and feels lovely too. I used this after using S&G’s Flake Away Body Polish and I feel that those two products work amazingly well together. I have really dry and sensitive skin on my legs and most other products hydrate them for a little while but then make them itch. This however keeps my skin moisturised all day and doesn’t make my skin itch at all. It has also improved the skin tone of my legs, i have scarring and this butter makes them look much better. I would never have even thought about wearing a dress/skirt without tights but since using this product I think I may just do that in the summer. It makes my skin feel super soft and smell lovely.
How to use: From the S&G website “After showering or bathing, smooth a generous handful of The Righteous Butter™ onto damp skin and massage lightly until it all sinks in. Smells like bergamot, strawberries and mandarin, with floral and fruity mid notes and musk, amber and warm vanilla notes on the bottom.”
What I say: I have used this on both dry and damp skin and it performs just as well either way.
Ingredients: Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, Parfum (from the S&G website)
Where from: Boots and S&G website
How much: £2.25 for 50ml and £10 for 300ml in tubs
You can also get Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter® Lotion 250ml in a pump dispenser bottle for £6.50 however I haven’t used this one yet.
Will I repurchase: Definitely, either the tub or pump bottle version.
