Hello Dears,
hope you are all having a fab week :)
I brought this about 2 weeks ago from the £1 shop, I thought why not its only £1 and I do need a new intensive conditioner. What a bloody waste of a £1 that was.
What is it: 2 Minute Makeover Heat Damage Intensive Conditioner for Parched, dried out hair
![]()
What they say: “Your time’s precious . . .just like your hair! Our great new salon treatments work in just 2 minutes.”
What I say: Well that tells you a lot doesn’t it? Nothing about why it works or what makes it so special, no special ingredients in this then, I’m guessing. Anyway I have used this about 4 times on every other wash of my hair and it does nothing for my hair at all. My regular conditioner makes my hair feel better than this does. Its a fairly thick conditioner and it smells lovely but it just doesn’t work.
How to use: “Cleanse the hair with GUM daily shampoo, rinse thoroughly and apply sufficient treatment to the hair. Distribute through the hair, wait 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Dry & style as usual”
I did as it said, well minus using their shampoo as I don’t own it nor do I wish too after trying this “treatment”. I don’t know if you would get better results by using their shampoo before hand but I haven’t had that sort of problem with other intensive conditioners like this which I use my regular shampoo with. I tried leaving it for 2 minutes and 5 minutes but it still did nothing for my hair.
Repurchase & recommend: Nope, there are much better products for this purpose on the market which I would sooner buy. Sorry GUM but you just didn’t work for me.
Thanks for reading & hope this was helpful to someone
They used to sell this stuff in Superdrug a while ago.. I remember seeing them and always steered clear because the packaging was so mucky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this though, I'm looking for a nice deep conditioner.
I saw this the other day and thought about getting it. Glad I didn't now.
ReplyDeleteI bought some hairspray though from the same range the other week and it is also quite rubbish. Definitely a brand to ignore! x
Well at least it was only a quid :)
ReplyDeleteRhamnousia - I thought they did. Yes I found it hard trying to find a tube which wasn't filthy. No problem, oh so am I. Always on the look out for those perfect products aren't we haha.
ReplyDeleteTackyBlueEyeshadow - Haha might as well use your regular conditioner and safe yourself a £1 lol. Oh dear, that's not good then. Yes I certainly wont be checking any of their other products out. Shame really as they are so cheap!
Lillian - That's true. I'm glad as I wouldn't have been very happy had it have cost any more haha!
